UPDATE: Russian President Putin changes head of administration

MOSCOW, Aug 12 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed Sergei Ivanov from the post of the head of the presidential administration and appointed Anton Vaino, his deputy, to take the position, according to a statement released by the Kremlin on Friday.
Ivanov was appointed as a presidential envoy for issues of environment protection, ecology and transport.
Putin said that he expects that Vaino will continue constructive and effective cooperation between the presidential administration and the government.
“May you succeed in the new area of work. I hope that you will work efficiently, professionally and energetically. And you will help not only me but the government, your subordinates. You will facilitate continuation of the working and really important for joint efforts contacts between the administration and the Russian government,” Putin said.
Ivanov said that he will work dynamically and effectively in the new post. He said that he has been asking Putin to assign him to sort things out in the troubled area of the economy for four years.
